Year 9 Design Technology

You are going to design a promotional "spiro" hat.

Your theme for your campaign for which you are going to make this product is:

" A healthy lifestyle is achieved through a complete state of mental, physical and social wellbeing"


You will study the following video and presentation, listen to the music, and you will complete the following tasks:

1. Promote Health Week and healthy lifestyles
2. Design a logo
3. Draw your designs carefully onto the "spiro" hat
4. Colour in your designs using pencils and pen carefully.
5. Cross the tabs over at the back and staple to create your hat

You must fulfill the following design specifications:

• Must clearly promote Health Week and healthy lifestyles
• It must be distinctive, and unique
• It must include the words STC Health Week

Extension Task
Using your ideas for your hat design: sketch and colour how one of the following may be used for the same promotional campaign.

• Burger packaging (e.g. MacDonald Big Mac)
• Tall paper coffee cup (e.g. Starbucks)
• Post card
