Year 8 Design Technology

You are going to design a new sports kit for Sha Tin College. You can chose to design one of the following:

• a new PE kit in the range of house colours
• a new netball kit
• a new football kit
• a new hockey kit
• a new rugby kit

You will study existing sports clothing from our school and other teams, and you will complete the following tasks:

1. Trace around your card model lightly in pencil
2. Design a sports shirt or vest (front & back)
3. Design matching sports shorts / skort (front & back)
4. Design matching long socks
5. Colour in your designs
6. Add tabs to your designs and then cut out the net and assemble

You must fulfill the following design specifications:

• The designs must be suitable for playing sport
• Have a distinctive, unique design and be in the school colours
• Include the Sha Tin College logo
• Include a team players position or number

Extension Task
Design one of the following to go with the above

• a track suit bottoms/ joggers
• swimsuit / trucks
• a hoodie / sweatshirt
