To design an assessment grid with assessment for learning I have used the following documents and websites. Each school has tried to make the assessment criteria accessible to the students in order to encourage their learning. I was particularly inspired by the third assessment grid even though it was for drama and have adapted this for design technology.

Here is the PowerPoint from the above link, it is 76 slides long, though it is very thorough and detailed, it is not relay student user friendly.
